Over 63 years after being founded, Midori Anzen continues to develop products with high quality, exceptional performance and uncompromising comfort without putting safety at risk – all under the motto of delivering excellent safety products at popular prices. As a safety product provider, we are a company that takes safety regulation compliance seriously in all we do.
1952 | Established Midori Anzen Co., Ltd. (previously Midori Saigai Bogu Co., Ltd.) as a total manufacturer of equipment for safety and hygiene. |

1963 | Established apparel department. Collaborated with Kurabo Industries Ltd. and started manufacturing as well as sales of uniform and workwear. |
1964 | Set up safety-shoe factory in Ishikawa-machi, Fukusihma Prefecture, Japan. |
1968 |
Moved Head Office to Hiroo, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo (present location).Added Hokuyo Co., Ltd. to the Midori Anzen Group of companies as a leather tanning division. Established the Environmental Equipment Division. Began manufacturing and sales of air-cooling fans as well as personal air-conditioned clothes for high-temperature workplaces. Also developed machinery and equipment to improve the environment, including air cleaners for factory, and other equipment for business use. Completed Tokyo Factory in Soka City, Saitama Prefecture, and began operations. |
1969 | Set up apparel factory in Asakawamachi, Fukushima Prefecture. |
1971 | Established the Electric Laboratory. Promoted research and development of electric measuring instruments and equipment to measure electric leakage and static electricity. |
1973 | Established Industria De Couros Atlantica S.A., a leather tanning company in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Began leather tanning as well as export business in Brazil and other countries. |
1979 | Successfully developed air-cleaners for automobiles. |
1980 | Began sales of helmets. |
1982 | Received National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology award. |
1983 | Kicked off Static Electricity Department. Began development and sales of anti-static electricity products. |
1984 | Obtained medical instrument approval for emergency oxy-gen inhaler as medi-cal device (medical personnel and home use) (the A-type O2 pack) and began sales. |
1988 | Established Guangdong Orient Friendship Apparel Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou city, a joint venture between Japan and China for manufacturing work uniforms.Started the system for encouraging employees to obtain class-1 health supervisor license. |
1994 | Began production of original helmet in Midori Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. |
1995 | Completed Soka Technical Center in Soka City, Saitama Prefecture. |
1997 | Established Shanghai Midori Anzen Trading Co., Ltd. in China. |
2000 | Established Beijing office (Shanghai Midori Anzen Trading Co., Ltd.) in China. |
2001 | Established F&H Div. as a special department to focus on food industry. |
2003 | Completed New Logistics Center in Soka City, Saitama Prefecture. |
2004 | Established Guangzhou office (Shanghai Midori Anzen Trading Co., Ltd.) in China. |
2006 | Began production of leather seats for automobiles in Mexico. |
2008 | Established Lao Midori Safety Shoes Co., Ltd. in Laos. |
2009 | Completed new head office building. Established MAV (Midori Apparel Vietnam Co., Ltd.) in December. |
2011 | Established MIDORI ANZEN (Thailand) . |
2013 | Established 2nd factory of MAV in Vietnam. |
2014 | Established Midori Safety Footwear Vietnam. |
2015 | Established Midori Techno Park Cambodia Co., Ltd. in Cambodia. |
